- Granted the prize of The British Institution of Water Engineers & Scientists in 1979.
- Granted the Star of Achievement from the President of the National Salvation Revolution Council in the year 1994.
- Granted the Arab Environmental Shield from Arabian Union for Youth and Environment in 1996.
- Granted the Honorary doctorate from the University of Juba in 1999.
- Granted the Order of Sudan Loyalty (medal of Sudan loyal son) by the President of the Republic of Sudan in the year 2000.
- Granted the Honorary doctorate from the University of Khartoum in 2001.
